fou / crazy

bisou / kiss

foubisou is a made-to-order crochet brand marked by unique and one-of-a-kind pieces. Every item in my shop is handmade in San Francisco, with love by me, Lily Foucault.

Derived from my last name & the french word for ‘crazy’, foubisou is inspired by all things beautiful, silly, & imperfect. Just like the song Zou Bisou Bisou, foubisou evokes a feeling of playfulness, nonchalance, and femininity.

As a self-taught crocheter and lifelong creative, I fell in love with creating crochet as clothing - and had a mission to reinvent the way we think about crochet (I'm looking at you, granny squares).

After years of trial and error, learning, and honing in on my aesthetic, foubisou was born - in all of its imperfect, DIY glory.

In an increasingly digitized and mechanized world, I am proud to use my two hands to slowly craft garments that can be worn for years to come and passed down for generations.
